I was able to find 23 lists of the best islands or most beautiful islands in the world. I took the 23 lists and added all their content into a spreadsheet, noting the rank of every island. I ended up averaging the rankings each one got and dividing that average by a factor of the number of lists it was on. The lowest score meant a high ranking average on many lists. The complete spreadsheet is attached at the bottom.

The islands that were on the most lists (out of 23) were:

  • Galapagos Islands, Ecuador – 13 lists
  • Bora Bora, French Polynesia – 12 lists
  • Bali, Indonesia – 12 lists
  • Palawan, Philippines – 11 lists
  • Maldives – 10 lists
  • Santorini, Greece – 9 lists
  • La Digue, Seychelles – 9 lists
  • Mallorca, Spain – 9 lists
  • Hvar, Croatia – 9 lists
