I searched the Internet for lists of the best episodes of the classic Twilight Zone show. Criteria included the episodes being ranked, not just listed and generally created by groups, whether teams or committees or based on general public voting (like Ranker.com).

I found 54 different ranked lists online of “best Twilight Zone episodes.” Then I averaged the rankings each episode got and divided that average by a factor of the number of lists that episode was on. The lowest score meant a high ranking average on many lists. The complete spreadsheet is attached at the bottom.

The episodes that were on the most lists (out of 54):

  • The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street (S1 E22) – 47 lists
  • Eye of the Beholder (S2 E6) – 47 lists
  • Nightmare at 20,000 Feet (S5 E13) – 47 lists
  • Time Enough at Last (S1 E8) – 46 lists
  • Living Doll (S5 E6) – 46 lists
  • It’s a Good Life (S3 E8) – 44 lists
  • To Serve Man (S3 E24) – 40 lists
