The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) first arrived on the World Wide Web in 1993. In 1996, it became Internet Movie Database Ltd.
If you’ve used IMDb, you know that each person and each movie has a number. The URLs for actor names look like this: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm#######/
I decided to look at the first numbers, starting with “nm0000001” to see which people the creators of IMDb prioritized. Who did they want to put first? So here are the first 100 people listed in IMDb. The first 82 seem to have been the priority, then an alphabetical list started with #94.
